Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 1 June 1987. Faulkner talks about his early family life in Autauga County, Alabama, his involvement in civil rights movements, and his role in the integration of the Republic Steel Company. He discusses his religious experiences, his conversion to the Mormon Church, and its influence on his present life. He also comments on his own experiences as a black Mormon.
